About
Spend a full day outdoors in the wilderness, riding a snowmobile through a variety of beautiful landscapes, enjoying lunch by the fire, and learning how to ice fish. This tour lasts 5 hours, including preparation time and breaks.
We meet at Spruce Island Husky and walk together to the changing room, where you will be provided with a helmet, warm snowmobile jacket, overalls, boots, gloves, and a hat. You will then learn the basics of snowmobile driving and receive a thorough safety briefing. After that, we set off and you get to try it yourself! We travel in a small group with the guide leading at the front. The snowmobiles safely take us to several beautiful locations. During the tour, you ride two per snowmobile—one driving and one sitting behind—and you switch halfway.
On this full-day tour, you venture deeper into the wilderness and experience a variety of landscapes. You will ride through snow-covered pine forests and mixed woodland with spruce and deciduous trees. This is home to the “king of the forest,” the majestic moose—so keep a close lookout! In the snow around you, you may also see tracks from foxes and hares. With a bit of luck, you might even catch a glimpse of moose and other wildlife such as reindeer and forest birds out on the vast marshlands. Species in the area include ptarmigan, wolverine, black grouse, and capercaillie.
We travel across frozen lakes and wetlands surrounded by lichen-covered pines. Feel the calm and create special memories with your loved ones. Halfway through the tour, we light a fire and enjoy lunch together. Would you like to try ice fishing? Perhaps you’ll catch something for dinner. We drill holes in the ice and take out our ice fishing rods while the guide shares stories about the fish and wildlife of Västerbotten. After the break, you pack up and continue the journey to discover more beautiful places before returning home filled with new impressions and memories.
